10 squares is standard sizing. Depending on steering wheel size and yarn/hook size, the amount of squares may vary. If you need it bigger add an extra square, if smaller use one less square. You want it to be tight on your wheel for less slippage.
MATERIALS
4 mm hook
Darning needle
Yarn Weight: Light Worsted, DK yarn (cotton or bamboo)
Gauge: 6 stitches by 3 rows = 2” using Dc
ABBREVIATIONS & THINGS TO KNOW
Dc - Double crochet
Slst - Slip stitch
Sc2tog - Single crochet decrease
Trcl - Treble crochet cluster
St - Stitch
Sts - Stitches
Ch - Chain

• Must know basic sewing skills for weaving in ends and sewing squares together.
